I read your first few lines (not the rest yet, thanks for the spoiler alert) and am set on watching this starting tonight! Here’s to more stories about women DOING instead of being done to. We still need stories of “being done to”, of crisis / victimization to show how we survive and make sense of it, but stories of Doing give us a more complete picture of the person — all persons — who are not just their sad stories.
