I watched your “male-female friendships” video link, and one of the comments for the video describes my view of its talking heads and the male HelloTalk creepers you encountered: namely, that they are hopelessly old-fashioned, inexperienced, and not very self-aware about friendships or romantic relationships. If you are self-aware or trying to be, you won’t feel threatened by your boy/girlfriend’s friendships, and if you feel threatened anyway, work through it with your partner like the adults you need to become. It’s too bad you have to avoid male language exchange partners, but a wise move on your part, as is your study of a foreign language. Keep up the good work — two-thirds of the world is multilingual, while three-quarters of Americans speak just one language. We need to close that gap!
